I hurt my knee running last night and my muscles are sore from the stretches I did yesterday; but that is testimony to how much of a couch potato I have become. If I keep up the low impact and stetching exercises I am doing, my knee should recover quickly under the support of better muscle tone. Four pounds lost in four weeks is a great pace - losing 50 pounds in a year is a great accomplishment to strive for! I will be honest though - I want to be under 200 by the end of the year and that means 8 pounds in the next 5 weeks. I would like to reach my goal weight by my birthday. That would mean that I need to lose 38 pounds in 4 months. So - how to do that? I need to keep my calories where they are - I have become comfortable with the volume and types of food I am eating. I need to increase the working out that I am doing. That means I need to carve time out of my day for it. Work definitely needs to take a back seat to taking care of myself.
