Eringiffin's Journal, 07 November 2012

Today I am feeling very motivated by my buddies to work harder on this way of eating. Somehow I squeaked out a 4 oz. loss for the weekly weigh in at the medical center. I think that must have been divine providence because it sure wasn't due to my vigilence. I'll take it!

Work has picked up at the new client which I am very thankful for. The day goes by faster when I have something productive to do.

At the risk of sounding very "churchy", I am continually amazed and thankful for God's blessings in my life. Every once in a while something happens that feels like God is just saying, "I love you." It reminds me that I need to be more charitable and patient in my thoughts and actions towards others.

That doesn't sound churchy, just spiritual. I'm glad you are feeling blessed, and that something good happened to you to remind you of your blessings. Keep at it, my friend!

That is a beautiful sentiment, Erin. You can do this- just small healhy choices each day can turn into big transformative changes. Maybe go by the gym and just walk the treadmill, or swim, or just do the sauna! Enjoy it all - you will continue to succeed - it is not a race, just a scenic tour!

Who cares if it sounds "churchy"? It's YOUR journal, and your beliefs, and this is still a free country, for now. You say whatever you feel like saying. Those that don't like it, don't have to read it. I'm just so OVER the PC crap!

I guess I just feel like sometimes it is hard to explain my thoughts on God without using a lot of lingo that is foreign to people not raised in the church. I have found that "Church Speak" more often pushes people away instead of drawing them in.

I understand, erin, really, I do, but those people will be turned off no matter HOW you say it...not saying we should be "crazy", but it's even more important to be real. God bless you :-)
