Heya peeps.. feeling fat and miserable.. I have gained 8 lbs since quiting smoking my pants are too tight.. I would really like to get under 200 by September.

Diet Calendar Entry for 14 June 2010:
1484 kcal Fat: 26.45g | Prot: 101.70g | Carb: 221.30g.   Breakfast: dannon greek blueberry. Lunch: carba-nada, chicken spinach sausage, mushrooms. Dinner: hot dog bun. Snacks/Other: scooter o's, skim milk, apple, caramel apple dip, progresso soup, cheesecake delight bar. more...

You've done a WONDERFUL thing for yourself! I'm proud of you. If you can kick a VERY difficult habit like smoking, then you will be able to get on track with healthy eating and exercise with NO problem! Just give your body a little time to adjust and keep an eye open for that "thing" that gives you a "fix". Mine is bike riding (for the exercise part) and slim jims (for the food part). Those make me happy and help me stay on track! :) and don't discredit that you've already lost over 40 pounds! You are a role model!!! :)

Good job Ceebee. I know it is hard. I've been there. Now I can't even be around people smoking cuz I have turned from smoking to having a ad-version to the smoke. Of course my daughter had something to do with that. I'm glad for you. As far as gaining weight, you took a huge step with the smoking so do what MOMofTeens says and give your body time to adjust. Keep with it, I know you'll get there.

Congrats on the not smoking!! Like those above, just give yourself time to adjust & the lbs will start coming off again. You're doing great!! = )

Just like MOMofTeens said if you can kick a very difficult habit then you will be able to do this. I am 127 days smoke free as of today. I to gained a few extra unwanted lbs after I quit. But I finally realized if I can quit then I can quit eating junk. It will get easier. Just don't give up! Felita
