Great day at the YMCA today! I didn't do any exercise before my C25K class today, but we walked for about 20 minutes with a grand total of 9.5 minutes of running today. Our first three runs were 1-minute each, then the next couple were 2 minutes, and the last one was 2.5 minutes. The great thing is that I felt the same after those two minute runs as I did after one-minute runs last week -- that's progress!

Even if our trainer did sneak the first one in on us. He said to run for 1 minute, that he'd let us know when to walk, then ran us for 2 before he stopped us lol.

Did 10 squats afterward, and 5 lunges on the right leg. Was supposed to do 10 each leg, but my knee started to hurt -- not like muscle soreness hurt, but like injury hurt.

I have a tendency to push my knee too far out in front of my ankle. Wary of this and the damage it can do to my knees, I tend to watch my leg while I'm headed down to make sure I stay in line. Unfortunately, this causes me to put almost all my weight over the one leg, effectively doing the same thing as pushing my knee out too far!

But it's progress for sure, and as my weight drops and my muscles gain strength, lunges will be doable again.

Shout out to Draglist for the 90-second almond bread recipe. Had it again at supper. Makes one hell of a bacon, fried egg, and cheese sandwich!
