thanks baskington. Can't do the surgery as I would not be able to move my neck. So trying to find a way to keep active, do what I want to do and enjoy my life. I love working out so trying to push myself to do more.

I have done that a couple times. It doesn't hurt but did nothing for my pain issues but it has helped many. What do you have to lose? Giver a go and if it does nothing, you can take that off your list. I really do hope it helps you!!!
I need motivation too. I can run nonstop but my car never seems to turn into the gym and once I'm home forget about it... there's not enough hours in the day is totally my excuse. When ya'll find the courage, please let me know what helps.I have planned many of trips to never make it...what is wrong with me? I need a work out partner... I think???
So sorry to hear of your pain... I'll will pray for you!!!

So sorry to hear about your neck issues! I had no idea how bad it was. Glad your sweater fits better this year and well done on working out! It has to help. Big Hugs!

I am surprised they don't have replacement disc for the back and neck area yet. They have replacements for just about every other part of the bone structure. Maybe something is out there for you, or is in line to be approved.

I went and looked it up, I guess they do have disc replacements for the upper back and neck area's but you can't of had previous surgery. that is pretty scarey too. did you ever look into lazer?? maybe it could help reduce the pain.

yup disc replacements are avail but it means my entire neck is immobile,,, not something I'm willing to do. 7 out of 7 discs fused is not an option for me.

Wow! It's hard to think or do much when the discomfort overrules everything else. Hang in there!

Thanks everyone. Working on ways to live with this and be able to do what I want to do. When pain overrules a rice heating pad and the recliner if I'm home @ work it's tough it out through the day. Tonight that includes a couple glasses of wine. Not sitting all day helps but the job is on the computer and phones all day--since I work as customer service for 47 different mutual funds this time of year is pretty much stuck @ a desk.
I'm trying some shadow boxing with 1 pound glove type weights off and on when I can during the day to loosen up the affected trigger points in the traps. Those all important muscles in your upper back. People look at me like I'm nuts ;) but it seems to be helping some. Makes me think of those here and others I know fighting much bigger challenges than I am, they are my inspiration.
Weight is staying steady -- I'm still trying to get that "granny 4 or 6 pack".
