kingkeld's Journal, 05 September 2012

Good morning!

Man, I am tired this morning. I was up around 2 am, because I couldn't sleep, just sitting here a little bit. Then back to bed, to toss and turn for an hour or so before I finally fell asleep again.

Now, of course, that it's time to get going, I can't wake up. Hrmff...

I'm stressing over a few cases at work, I think. Some of those unpleasant ones that makes my job one of the harder ones to do. I guess I just have to deal with it.

So, today will be a short journal. I'm gonna go back to bed and try to sleep some more.

I just might pop in and write more later, and definitely tomorrow morning. Let's hope I sleep better.

Life is good - even without sleep. :)

Hi Keld, I am with you on the no sleep issue. I had Sarah yesterday and thankfully my husband did all the work as I was fit for nothing. Although the co codamol is bad for my bowel I have been forced to take it in order to get some sleep as I am sure lack of sleep is lowering my resistance as I have been hit with another virus or cold, not sure which. Although my op was classed as major, I believe yours was a lot more to deal with. How are you fairing? Are you a great deal better or is your recovery causing you hassle. You are always going to turn over your most difficult cases.

Continued. I wish I knew how to help you other than remind you of a journal you wrote many moons ago. You were in the same dilemma for a long time over a difficult case and then months down the line, it sorted itself out. Having had it on your mind I think you realised that there is only so much you can do, that some things cannot be controlled, maybe too many factors. If I have not expressed this point adequately or it sounds glib then I apologise in advance. I only remember you expressed amazement over having worried so much and the situation either evaporated or came to a natural conclusion. I would not want to do your job. You give so much of yourself to these difficult cases Keld. Take care. Much love Sazy xx

Sazy, I really appreciate your reminder. You're absolutely right. I think I - well, I KNOW - I was dreading bringing some bad news to a client today. It is truly a SUCKY part of the job. However, it's something that I need to do along with helping by far the most people I deal with. It's never easy, it's never fun. It keeps me awake some nights. Thankfully, I've gotten past that now, and hopefully I can sleep tight tonight. Thanks, again. :)

What a great memory Sazy has. She was right to remind you but then, you knew that. It's easy to say and hard to do, I am sure. All jobs can be sucky at times. I lived through that many times. Just keep on trucking (as they say here in the South) and try to get those Z's in. So important ... right, Sazy? I am up in the middle of the night alot. LOL! Hugs!

Bad news is never easy to give out, but the sooner people are aware of it the more time they have to make their own decisions regarding the news. This is easier said than done, but it never does any good to worry about things. Someone gave me an analogy one time about worry that I thought was very accurate. Worrying is like paying interest on a loan that you haven't taken out yet. Hope things work out for your clients.

"Worrying is like paying interest on a loan you Have'nt taken out yet" Utterly brilliant way to put it. Though i suspect with Kelds caring heart it is part of his make up, preferring to help but not hurt. xxxx
