I am not sure how accurate my scale is but what does it mean if someone has a high bone mass?

I think it means that your bones are high density, which is good. Denser bones means less chance of osteoporosis. We are the same fat-free body weight - I recently decided that I need to focus on body fat more than weight and if I can maintain muscle mass, 120 pounds would be too low. I am hoping to get to 20% body fat which would mean I am probably going to done losing weight at about 135 or 140. What scale do you use, it's got a lot of cool info!

That makes sense! I have started trying to do less cardio and more weight training in hopes to lose fat and not lose muscle mass. It is the FITINDEX Bluetooth Scale. 😊

Yes, higher bone density means a person doesn't have osteoporosis or osteopenia. I have never seen it measured in pounds though, so no idea what that number would indicate. When they do a DEXA (bone density) the results are given primarily as a T-score, plus some others, but not in pounds. I have had severely low bone density for almost 20 years now, so am very familiar with the scores, though I have now quit having the DEXA since there is nothing that works for me, so why learn that it is even worse every time? Weight training is super for your bones (it just happened not to work for me, but mine is a rare case) as well as for your weight; but cardio preserves the heart muscle, so don't ignore that part. Those are some interesting numbers your scale gives. I rely primarily on BMI & weight. Good job!
