dorseybroich's Journal, 26 August 2012

I have been keeping my calories consumed within 110% of calories burned and eating mostly animal protein, vegetables, oils (coconut fat, walnuts, almonds) with a little fresh fruit. Also, staying hydrated with 2-6 cups of strong French Roast, a fifth or more of red wine, and lots of water, coconut water, sparkling water, etc. Trying to keep net carbs under 100 g per day.

Stiffness in hands reduced. Pain in right hip almost gone. Had a nice walk after lifting weights, today, and even jogged a hundred feet with little or not pain. Lifted weights past several days with no bad results other than normal muscle soreness. Feet and ankles almost normal in terms of edema. Body heat good. Stomach significantly smaller, visually, and much less feeling of it being big and hard (pregnant). It's still hanging like a pendulum in front of me, but at least it doesn't hurt and feel hard when I press it with my hand.

Bought enough grass-fed hamburger and steaks to last a few days along with a half dozen bottles of good red on my way home from the gym. Almost bought more fruit, but I have six or eight organic bananas, and I have to admit that I feel better if I don't eat more than a few fruits each day. Funny how I ate two huge grass-fed burgers, last night, on top of a salad, and with a serving or more of coconut oil heaped onto it, and I lost a huge amount of bloat.

The experiment continues... I haven't been under 200 in months. I'm amazed.
