BuffyBear's Journal, 26 August 2012

Finished my first cup of coffee before 6 AM. Maybe today I'll finish what I started yesterday.

The Mustang sold yesterday, which means we'll be getting a new roof on the house this fall. Poor DH hated to see it go. He had put a lot of his heart and soul into that car.

Today I am thankful for cooler weather. So nice to be able to open up the windows and let "real" air inside.

Ok, I know I've been away...but this begs the question...what Mustang? Details? And it's already sold! Bummmer!!! I would have bought it from you! My hubby sold his '69 Fastback right after we got married to help with a downpayment on our first house. Men!!! Gotta love 'em!

Sorry to hear about the Mustang, but a new roof over your head you will be very grateful for....although not so much fun :( Cooler weather is nice for being able to open the windows I love the fresh air blowing through the house. Happy Sunday Buffy.

Sorry about the Mustang, but we all must do what is in our financial best interest, been there done that by selling our RV to make foundation repairs, we all do it !

I ache for your DH selling that car, as my own DH has a car that's like his right arm to him....has put in MANY, many hours of work on it. Sometimes being responsible and being an adult is just no fun! Maybe he'll find a cheap project car on CraigsList that's got "lots of potential"??? LOL!

Paula - my husband restores old cars for a hobby. He had a 49 ford pick up and a 68 mustang and knew he had to sell one of them. The 49 sold first, but instead of getting a roof, he built himself another garage. So then he was forced to give up the mustang. But don't feel too sorry for him - he has already bought a new "project" car.

PS - Paula - you may not have wanted the Mustang. It was Pro-Street.

Yvonne - I feel it is a sin to allow a house roof to leak. You have no idea how much better I will feel now!

Notfast - I remember you selling the RV. But at least now when you come home your house will still be in the same spot - LOL.

Sandy - you are so right - being a responsible adult sucks! But that will be short lived. He just pulled out of here with the trailer to go pick up his new project car.

Ha Ha! Men! You are right! Better make sure the roof gets fixed and he doesn't go crazy with his new project. Hee Hee! I do know how these things go. New roof is next... embroider that into his pillow case and towels. LOL! Hugs!

Mom2Boxers - Not to worry - he knows how I feel. Of course after the roof is done I have a list!

He's probably happier with a new project, than he was admiring the one he's already done. At least that's the way I am. I want to make them perfect (in my case, motorcycles) but then I'm already looking for the next project. Keeps me occupied instead of stagnant. Good luck on the roof. :)
