Well, once again, I failed at keeping to Atkins - not even for two days! So I'm back to the Mayo Clinic Diet, which lets me eat most everything, but keep it to that moderation method; change a few bad habits; pick up a few better habits...

I have also started walking more regular with Leslie. The last few days though my knee has been really bothering me. I'm trying not to let it distract me, but sometimes I feel it needs a rest - usually after walking on the concrete floors at work for 8 - 9 hours. My health has gone down hill since I started working there ; 2 years 10+ pounds gained, although I'm moving more; I ache/hurt all the time, especially at the end of a shift; the roller coaster hours have hit hard to the digestive tract and my eating schedule in general - there is no regular meal time. I have to eat when they let me or I go hungry/without. I got to get out of there. I just want to get my life back under my control, not their's.

DH is back from his 3-week trip to Canada, so I slept pretty well last night, a more relaxed sleep. Tomorrow we leave for a weekend road trip. I'm actually looking forward to it.

I suppose I should go check into my challenges and see if I'm sticking to any of them..

Don't think of it as a failure - you need to do whatever works for you! Best of luck.

If you like the idea behind the Atkins but find it too strict just modify the mayo clinic numbers to suit your preference. For me I cut the carbs in half and shifted the calories, not portion numbers, to protein. Good Luck, I hope you are feeling more confident with the Mayo Program.
