I have been on keto for 19 days and the only carbs I have consumed have come from vegetables (>25g/day). It hasn’t been “hard” necessarily because I’m still eat yummy/filling meals, but I am REALLY starting to miss my favorite things in the world like sushi, wine, and mexican food (although I did make tacos the other day and used lettuce as the “shell” - that was pretty good). Just trying to figure out it keto is worth it. My energy levels are definitely up, my brain fog has lifted, but if I just eat “better” than I was before and actually work out a little bit - won’t it be the same?

There are many keto proponents here, but my philosophy is to eat the foods you enjoy but use portion control and low-carb product swaps to keep calories under Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) until I hit goal. I'm trying to find a way of eating that I can keep up for the rest of my life, get to goal and stay there with very few changes. So far, so good. My way may be a bit slower as I progress, but I'll be more likely to stick to it.
