Breakfast! Hubby and I love bacon on Saturday mornings. In the past it would have been 4-5 slices + a couple of fried eggs + a couple of slices of buttered toast. Total calories: 772, and I might have washed it down with a Coke. Today it was 3 slices of thick-sliced bacon, blueberries, cantaloupe, and a slice of Dave's Thin-Sliced Killer Seed Bread + cream cheese. Total calories: 317. I drank The Good Earth's sweet and spicy tea (no sugar) and am totally satisfied. Better yet, hubby is too!

Keeping things I love (like BACON!!!) is important to me. I have to make some trades, though, because certain foods trigger me to compulsively eat. I've discovered I can't do "some" butter right now, so it's off my list until all my eating is under control. It's just how it is. I know some people can cut back a little and do just fine, but my trial-and-error is showing me that bread and butter are killers for me. Finding substitutes, like Dave's seed bread, has helped a lot. I also like the creaminess and fat in cream cheese but it doesn't trigger me the way butter does.
