I am not listing my weight gains but only my losses right now. I had grandchildren, enjoyed the 4th, and traveled and up a bit in weight but not horrible. This week I am back on track and almost to my low weight of 163. The 2 day low carb/1 day fasting is really working for me. The carb level is much higher than Atkins and by jiggling what I eat for the 1 day, 2 days, and the rest of the week I am losing weight. Going from a full meal Sunday evening to Monday supper fasting is not hard for me. If this does indeed boost my metabolism then fine. I think that this is my life plan for weight loss for the rest of my life with minor adjustments once my weight is where I want it. It is so easy, I feel great, I am not hungry. No matter what diet is out there desserts and sugar are rare commodities and I have gotten over the sugar need. Saturday or Sunday I do have a dessert. Thursday through Sunday I eat some fruit...I love bananas, peaches, cherries, etc. I do not ever count calories, just carbs. I don't ever eat margarine and few processed foods. I eat nothing with soy in it. I eat meats, veggies, fruits (strawberries low carb days), olive oil, coconut oil, cream, butter, limited corn oil, corn tortillas and chips on higher carb days ( I am gluten intolerant). I use very limited amounts of xylitol, liquid stevia and very little Splenda and only sugar in my once per week dessert if even that. I drink no sodas with either sugar or diet. I do have coffee, tea, selzer or sparkling waters with only natural flavor no sweeteners added, and 5 oz of wine per day. Once a week I enjoy a glass of orange juice on a higher carb day. I never touch anything with aspertame in it. Once my Splenda is gone I will only use Xylitol and liquid Stevia...not the versions by Coke and Pepsi that are chemically produced. Last night I had grilled chicken, 1 ear of corn on the cob with butter, salad with raspberry vinegar and olive oil, and wine. The corn would never have been on the carb level of Atkins but fit with this diet plan even with it being a lower carb day. Next week I should be back at my June level from the travel/fun up weight and will keep going down. I cannot say enough about A. How wonderful I feel and B. That even coming off of a splurge time I am quickly losing down with confidence that I am on the right track.
163.0 lb Lost so far: 3.0 lb.    Still to go: 38.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
