drmcdougaller's Journal, 12 February 2008

I am excited because I went on a job interview for the first time in five years and it wasn't so bad! I might even get the job. I was able to get into my "interview" pants that I had grown out of this year so that was a nice feeling to be able to just zip it up, barely. I wore Spanx under it so it looked nice. I am still coming down from a wild weekend of eating birthday cake and cheesecake I had bought for my 19 year old daughter, which, of course, she didn't eat. She has such a mature mentality. But I enjoyed every bite of it and now that is in the past and I look forward to going back to my successful ways! Good Luck to everyone this week who got a little off track but are ready to lose once again. I salute us.....

There's nothing like fitting into some old pants to feel success! I'm curious about the Dr. McDougall diet. I read about it somewhere and have been reading up on his site. It is definitely extreme but he makes some good points and I can't find anyone who criticizes his work. I may eventually work the principles into my diet since I'd like to dramatically reduce my cholesterol which is high (245).
