AprylleDawn's Journal, 11 June 2016

Good afternoon! This is an update on my experience with the HCG diet. I weighed in at the Doctor this morning and got my B shot. The doctor scale said I weighed 127.5. Thats impossible! I weighed myself at home this morning and my scale said 132.7. The doctor told me that digital scales are not accurate. Ya, but this is a huge difference of 5 pounds! If this is true, we all need to throw out our digital scales and by the analogue type. I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and stepped on several scales. There was a big difference in weights between the scales. This is ridiculous. But I must go by the doctor scale, which means I am logging a huge loss. Whatever the case may be, I lost several centimeters in my waist as well, which supports the weight drop on the scale. Therefore I am ecstatic. Some people tell me I don't need to lose weight. But I am so excited to go running without my inner thighs rubbing together and giving me a painful rash. That is my motivation. Besides that, I want ripped abs, and you can't have them with a lot of excess fat on your belly. Period. I have lost a lot of weight in a short period of time with HCG. I love this diet!
127.5 lb Lost so far: 6.5 lb.    Still to go: 2.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

My digital seems to be accurate to the dr's digital scale and the slide scale at the gym. To me, the importance of the home scale is to see the progress up or down, not that my weight is exactly X amount. Drink a big glass of water and your weight will go up - that isn't weight you need to be concerned about.

I agree Trackin64!

Congrats on your loss, however, your loss is due to your ultra low-calorie Diet and not the "HCG. The HCG in the HCG Diet is worthless, it is a con intended to milk people out of money while keeping them on an ultra-low calorie diet, which is the reason for the loss. The Vitamin-B shot should not give you a burst of energy, if it does, it is a clear indicator that you are Vitamin-B deficient. The question is this. Once you are off your HCG Ultra Low Calorie diet, then what?....What is your maintenance plan for maintaining your loss, as the diet itself is not sustainable nor realistic in the long run.

Totally disagree with majohn. I know lots of people who lost and maintained after Hcg, but not after ultra low calories. I don't think this is the place to debate her plan. It is a difficult plan, and I am sure she researched it. Seems sort of arrogant and unsupportive to make the comments on her journal that you did.

Wow, you ROCK girl. Great loss there, and congratulations. I need a new scale too. You keep at it, and it will be great for you.

@TinaGis. Maintaining weight loss after any plan is always the most difficult part of losing weight, and maintaining weight loss after an ultra low-calorie diet even more so. Lastly...am not being unsupportive, as you can clearly read by me congratulating her on her current loss to-date, and by asking about an end-game solution, that is also being supportive, as to prevent the rebounding that happens far too often.

I believe the HCG is helping to support fat loss vs muscle loss. I have experienced major muscle loss resulting in a lot of flabby sag with extreme low calorie diets in the past. In this case it is my opinion that the hormone is helping to prevent that from occurring. I realize this is a highly controversial diet. In any case it is working for me.

Glad it's working for you, work on some weight lighting to help strengthen and keep muscles, while building stronger bones for the future..... Good luck!

I love it if people figure out a way of eating or diet that "works" for them, even if it involves keeping a lucky rabbit's foot in one's pocket in order to "lose weight"...in this case HCG injections are probably that lucky rabbit's foot. If anyone is interested there is some great background info on the history and subsequent studies done regarding the effectiveness of the HCG protocol diet in a recent link on @rabbitjb's post on the diet forum topic "New to group - Question for phase II" posted by member @randyhudson on May 18, 2016...not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but anyone considering the HCG diet protocal should give this and other background information regarding the HCG diet a good read and careful consideration before signing up. Tina and Apryl, I don't think Majohn was personally attacking anyone but was expressiing a valid opinion of the HCG diet based on his research. I value your opinions too, but I am not sure that "knowing lots of people who lost and maintained after HCG, but not after ultra low calories (diets)" is reassuring or scientific...I know many hundreds of people that have dieted some successful, some not...but I know no one personally who has been on a sustained ultra low calorie diet and/or HCG diet...I might be sheltered but I think these are pretty rare diets...unless you work in a HCG diet supplying clinic or something.

Great job AprylleDawn! Its weird that you are getting people that don't do the Hcg procotol commenting on your journal. Should we let a moderator know?
