Very happy to have lost this week. But VERY worried about the coming week. Husband starts vacation for a week. We are staying home but will be doing some day trips here and there, which means eating out.

Going to an ITALIAN restaurant tonight. I can't even remember the last time I've been to one. Just hasn't been a choice with being LC.

Is it better to set my goals higher, as in stay on track all week and I will lose? or is it better to say to myself my goal is to maintain? AND if that's the case, how do I know how much I can eat and still maintain? Should this be a week of weighing every day? Maybe instead of 5:2 I should log the best I can and shave off calories when possible?
144.0 lb Lost so far: 131.0 lb.    Still to go: 7.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Diet Calendar Entry for 27 May 2016:

You are so close to your goal! Is it time to 'trial' a maintenance week? Go by your gut feeling what is right for you? Hope you enjoy the extra time with Hubby :)

Nice drop there Rckc! There are truly healthy choices at Italian Restaurants, even though usually when we are celebrating something we go for the yummy stuff that makes us feel good in the moment.....that's called life :) I kinda keep a daily average going on my food diary, one day when I go up and over, I will adjust the next couple of days to compensate for the indulgence till I have my daily average back to where I want it. It seems to work for me. :)

Hey, that's great there with that loss. Have a good time together, and just keep the diet focus going and you will be fine!.

Great drop! Don't stress about it but try to practice moderation. Enjoy yourself, don't over do it and if you splurge a little get right back on track. You can do this.

Great drop! Can u google the menu and search for the best foods to get before hand? Salads r great at Italian restaurants but not sure of carbs in a salad. In my experience I tend to be able to do a butt load of carbs and cals and still be ok but I keep moving and try and wait 16hrs until my last meal to eat again but I think u already do that but I'm just trying to say that while maintaining its good to try higher cals and stuff so u can see just what u can get away with. And remember this is a rare thing you won't be eating like this everyday. Enjoy and try not to stress about it. Watch your portions too that's a biggie :-)

Maybe try portion control - and do no even eat the bread - save the carbs for your pasta? Italian bread kills me every time but last time I avoided it and did better

Last time I was in an Italian restaurant I ate a bowl of soup then had dinner. The salads are awesome too. I bet you do just fine.

Nice drop! Lots of good suggestions here and I have nothing to add except to suggest that moderation might be the most practical approach. Maybe just eat 2 meals a day, too.
