I think this gain is Super Bowl and Valentines related. I’ve been doing well in the gym and I can definitely see an increase in muscle development and WOE has been good with the exception of a couple of treat days… I’m not gonna freak because I know I’m working hard and I can feel a difference in my body. Maybe I’m finally learning it’s not always about how much I weigh…
135.0 lb Lost so far: 20.0 lb.    Still to go: 3.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Good reminder for me, too. Up this morning 😐 I was thinking I need to get really serious. I really just need to put those calories from dinner to good use at the Gym today & watch what I eat for a few days. All will be well for both of us 😊

Sherrye, thanks for info. I did check her out on IG and found her info encouraging. When I saw that I had gained, I was surprisingly calm ..I'm trying to learn that it's not always about what scale says. I am headed to gym today and it's my cardio day so I'm sure I'll burn some of the calories off but if I don't it's ok. I usually have low carbs after a gain but today I had oatmeal for breakfast as when doing cardio I feel I need the carbs for fuel. I see nutritionist soon so well see what measurements are .We both know what to do but staying in course can sometimes be tricky. I'm impressed by your food posts and it goes to show .it's all about balance and knowledge.

Liv, you are right about that! I went to gym and did the dreaded cardio machines...It really wears me out! I also did a decent core workout so Zim good for the day.💪💜

You are doing amazing!! I sometimes wonder if I need to change my goal at the gym so that the trainer doesn’t weigh me weekly!

Redporch, I know what you mean! I feel like changing my weight goal on FS too. I don't like not meeting my " goal".. Im just going with the flo...I feel good and I'm seeing results in other ways so for now I'm ok with weight ..now...if I go over 135 I might get freak out a bit...💜 How is returning to trainer been? Wasn't he off for a bit?

Hard to focus on exercise and calorie control at same time. I suggest you focus on exercise routine for 3 weeks, which is then followed by focus on calories for 3 weeks and then alternate after that.

Chris, Yes! Balancing calories versus exercise and building muscle can be tricky. I’m eating healthy and staying within my RDI and macros 90% of time and fitness level is high so I’m trusting the process and hopefully I’ll have my desired effect.💪🏼 Brigit, You are too funny! Mine too plays games with me! Right after Super Bowl ( which is the day I let loose and had a few treats) I still weighed 133. It wasn’t till 2 days later that I saw weight gain, even though I returned to healthy eating…I think my scale was laughing at me….💜

Those scales! Such fickle creatures and yet they can determine a good day or a bad day for some of us. Im oddly fascinated with my weight creeping up with the oatmeal/higher carb experiment. Fascinated like seeing a two headed creature or a unicorn. It’s odd. I am feeling stronger tho so guessing it’s the carbs. Are you feeling stronger on the days you do oatmeal?

YOH, I don't necessarily feel stronger when I eat oatmeal but definitely feel more energetic. I eat it about twice a week, both on days my workouts are longer and more intense. It really helps fuel me. On days I do eat it I watch my carb intake more throughout the day . 💜

@Dianna…I like that. Use the carbs to fuel your WOs but also on those days, be mindful of total intake of carbs. I do this, too. Carbs do help me with my more intense WOs.
