Dentist today....cleaning went well & I thought I was getting away unscathed. The tooth that was sensitive a month ago but stopped bothering me has a healthy root...no issues. But, the dentist found a crack in my back lower tooth. It's not given me any problems but he's recommending a crown 😒

Stopped on the way home for a few things. I planned to buy strawberries but there were none to be had. I did find an Impatien marked half price to plant in a ceramic planter my sister gave me. Several seemed to be damaged by cold but this one looked unscathed...& only $5 😁

I haven't kept my calories as low as Sunday, but I was still down again this morning. Yesterday, right @ 1800...today a little lower.

It was quite warm this afternoon. The temps keep going up & down. Got in an afternoon walk.

That sucks. Maybe you go to this dentist a lot and trust her (or him) but the last time I went to the dentist, I felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman. Maybe get a second opinion. I'd wait until it was noticeable and causing pain and then pull it. 😲 hate the dentist so so much.

As I have gotten older most of the fillings in my teeth have required crowns due to cracks that developed under the old fillings. My doctor has a little probe with a camera on it so he can actual show me the crack on the big screen TV.

DP if you wait and pull each tooth this happens to you may not have any teeth left and have to deal with the infection that can develop under the cracks. Expensive but better to deal with it up front before you have surgical tooth pulling and infection and abscess issues to deal with.. I know, it sucks. I have about 8 crowns and even those may need to be replaced over time.

DP, I have been going to this same practice for 21 years & trust them. I go every 6 months for cleaning & a check up. Kenna, you are right. The dentist showed me on camera, the crack. The tooth has a filling in it & a crack to the gum line. If I wait to treat the tooth I may run into needing a root canal & still need to have it crowned....more expense...and pain. I have had one tooth pulled & really don't want to lose any more. Most of my teeth have crowns due to a bad habit of grinding my teeth when I was younger.
