I'll have to fess up all the no good I've been up to, She makes me accountable, we're getting to the point of our relationship where I don't want to disappoint. I hope to get to the point where I don't need another person make me accountable.

Glad to hear you are seeing a nutritionist instead of guessing. Regarding joint pain, the book i am reading "The Circadian Code" by Dr Panda enumerates an impressive list of health benefits for adopting a Time Restricted Eating (TRE) schedule. Take a look at the book when you get the chance. Reduction of Joint inflammation is one these benefits. How many hours do you have between the start of your first meal and the end of the last one? Anything less then 12h will give many health benefits. The benefits double for every reduced hours. I have been doing a 10h TRE for a couple of weeks and I love it. I start breakfast around 8am and finish dinner around 6, 4 hours before bed time.

Thanks, TRE sounds doable. I will definitely find the book. Maybe an audio version. Listen while walking save some time. Pain stops me from moving. It's been a work, rest, work, rest workout cycle. My hubs also suffers from joint pain also. We work with our hand, joint damage from sports. Our hands & knees suffer the most. Hips still good 🤭

Chris, I have been wearing blue light filter glasses for the laptop. The phone has bluelight filter switch now. I think it's helping.

Chris, I been reading about ceylon cinnamon being the only true cinnamon. Any thoughts? I have a giant bottle of cinnamon from Costco I been using forever. I purchased cinnamon sticks for recipes that require an entire stick. My body to cinnamon. It was not good.

Regarding blue light and screen, there is a section on this in the Circadian Code book, which i will quote below. It is important to spend as much time as possible outdoors every day so that natural light helps the production of melatonin in the evening to help you fall asleep. Blue light and bright lights in general should be minimized after dinner (you can wear your blue light filter then, but not all day long. Book extract below this line: Robert Wore His Blue-Light-Filtering Glasses During the Day While it is gratifying t to see how basic scientific discoveries from my lab are transforming lives, I am also getting a little worried. In April 2017, I got a phone call from my friend Julie Wei-Shatzel, a primary care physician in Folsom, California. Dr. Wei-Shatzel told me about one of her patients who was experiencing severe jet lag and depression-like symptoms after a recent trip from the East Coast. She figured out that her patient, Robert, had just bought a new pair of prescription glasses with a blue-light-filtering coating; they were sold to him as a product to wear while he worked at his computer. The glasses were meant to reduce eye strain. While they were effective, Dr. Wei-Shatzel found that continuous use of blue-light-filtering glasses during the day essentially filters out most of the blue light we badly need to maintain mood and entrain the circadian clock to the local time. With less blue light coming through his glasses, Robert's clock was stuck. The lack of bright light mimicked a northern Canada winter, and his brain was slowly drifting toward depression. Dr. Wei-Shatzel was aware of my team's work on blue light, so she asked Robert to switch back to his older glasses and see if it improved his mood. In a couple of weeks, he was back to normal, with a better mood and no jet lag.

Regarding cinnamon stick, i have no information, i use cinnamon ground from Costco in all my desserts mixed with Greek yogurt, totally addicted to cinnamon. I also use oregano and turmeric powder with pepper in all my dishes because they have anti inflammatory powers

I also read about how Saigon can be toxic at higher doses, i will look into the Ceylon cinnamon as well

Yes, that's where my research has taken me. My hubs scare me with the amount he uses in his steel cut oats, b/c he can't have sugar.

In Chinese med, we avoid cinnamon & black peppercorn when the body is weak. Just like no shellfish for 6 months after surgery or infection.

Thanks for the info, can your hubs have fruits with oats? What about 100% cocoa? Once we detox from refined sugar, any fruit or nut tastes like candy

He eats oat with blueberries, walnuts, flaxseeds & cinnamon for brunch. Big changes, he used to bacon, egg & toast/grits. I follow the dirty dozen & clean 15 list. GMO, hybrid fruit now has much sugar anyone with a sugar issue must limit, high fructose causes spikes. Endocrinologist says it doesn't matter that it's healthy sugar, it's still sugar. We rarely used sugar at home, only when baking. We don't eat candy, problem is pastries. Souffles, crepes, etc. Poor thing is so used to having his pints(Now a banned beverage in the house except for his birthday & Xmas.) We can talk about what hops do to the body another time. Hubs is highly insulin resistant. I'm trying not to get there. Cheers
