When I drink a lot of tea and stay away from the liquor I drop during the week. Goal was 1k cals a day but more like 1300 with working out each morning. 15 min uphill hard cardio followed by 15 min targeted workout (Mon arms, Tues abs, Weds cardio, Thurs lower body). Any advice on not feeling starving and dropping cals??

My problem is always the dip with the veggies! Lol but that is helpful.

Can you use one of the Walden Farms salad dressing as your dip? I have tried most of them and with the exception of one or two, they are really quite good and I am not a diet product person.

Skip those zero calorie dressings. Buy a couple packets of either hidden valley or generic ranch dry mix and mix it with greek yogurt. An entire cup will have about 100 calories depending on the brand of yogurt you choose. You will get a healthy serving of protein and probiotics. That and the veggies make for a well balanced meal.

The guy at the liquor store is getting accustomed to seeing me once every three days for 2 50ml vodka or whiskeys. I have to do it that way because if I bought more I’d drink more. As far as being hungry...sometimes you’re just going to feel hungry and it’s up to you to say, “F off, stomach! I’ve hit my count for the day!” Drink another glass of water and go to sleep. I often wake up after an episode like that and don’t even feel hungry enough to eat breakfast for a few hours.

I was stuck when I was eating low 1200 or less and I wasn’t losing weight anymore even with my workout, but then I increase my food to 1300 and up,with more protein and feeling full on fiber ,more energy for the damn training and yes I lost 5lb in 2weeks..I surprised my body with carbs and more food👌good luck mama, try what works for you the most, might be more fiber or more protein

Make sure after workout you eat a protein. It helps with muscle definition. Also when you are craving sugar try a protein instead. It helps keep you full and is supposed to quench the sugar cravings. Fiber will also help.

I love drinking tea for cravings! There is a brand, Red Rose, that has a line called Sweet Temptations. They are all "treat" flavored--Lemon Cake, Blueberry Muffin, etc. They are sweetened with stevia--0 calories--but taste super-sweet. Dessert in a cup!!

I also (like Suzy) drink hot tea when I'm done eating for the day but feeling hungry. It make me feel fuller.

I eat a lot of soup to feel full. Bone broth, saurkraut and kombucha helps my tummy recover from alcohol related indulgences. Any sugar at all and my hunger roars. I think eating sugar also triggers my alcohol cravings so I try to avoid. I have recently decided to sleep more than usual to avoid midnight snacking hunger pangs.

I was eating a ton of lentil soup because it was filling and I ended up with colitis

@brandy- lol I think we might be on the same kind of journey! I feel exactly the same way. @Step- oh my god you made me laugh so hard! I'll keep the lentils in check 🤣🤣

I would make sure to take a supplement at that low calorie count. Not sure of your height but it might not be sustainable either.
