Katsolo's Journal, 29 January 2021

This will be fine tomorrow. Another early call, so rushed to desk as soon as I was dressed pretty much.

Short walk last night as it started raining and nope, not even gonna try that with these idiots on the roads, so we turned around, went to the local schoolyard for a few minutes and then booked it home. Hit all the numbers I wanted to yesterday, a little over on calories, but no biggie at the end of the day.

BF still in hospital, treating for infection and inflammation, feels better, but still not great with the walking without nausea. He is talking to me more, so that's good. Thanks to all for prayers and good thoughts.

Another attempt to capture the magic of the moon last night, when they have a phone that can do the whole thing without a lens attachment, I'm in. In the meantime, this is what I caught.

Beautiful picture, Kat! I am happy to know that BF is getting better.

Thanks, Eva. He feels better, I'm still silently completely freaked out, but plodding along. I want him to get better, not worry about me. I don't think they're letting him out today. This whole world is so surreal right now. I feel like we're all going to look back at this period and just shake our heads in disbelief of the absurdity of everything we collectively are going through.

I am sorry to say that I am less optimistic in the long run. I think we’ll look back and say “it was in 2020 when all the big commotions began, but we didn't know yet.”

we've been working off a 36 month timeline for a meaningful return to normal. for whatever that's worth. it's turning out to be more right than I'd thought at the beginning.

That's interesting, Kat! No one thought that this pandemic state would last over a year

No one said it out loud early on, but here we are.

Glad he is showing some improvement and lovely pic, too. When I came out of the gym there was a huge, reddish /orange moon that should have been beautiful to capture but ended up being so comical that I had to delete it.
