SherryeB's Journal, 31 December 2020

Thought I may have hit a new low, but looked back & saw I have actually been here before 😀 Not since the Thanksgiving Holidays, though.

Hubby & I are having a quiet New Years Eve at home. I bought black-eyed peas for tomorrow & have a pork rib roast to cook. I always cook the whole thing then freeze some of the chops for later.

I was feeling kinda blue & grumpy earlier. Not sure why....I layed back down for a bit & when I got up I felt better. Must have gotten up on the right side of the bed this time 😊

I keep seeing folks talk about how 2021 is going to be a better year. I hope this is true, but at least in the beginning I don't see a big change. We're still isolated from friends. My family did choose to spend time together in spite of some risk this year. After losing my brother in law unexpectedly on October I don't think any of us regret making the choice to be together.

My granddaughter in Texas was in an auto accident Tues. night. A drunk driver hit her jeep and 2 other vehicles causing it to roll & it is totalled. Thankfully she was not injured other than a sprained foot. There are photos of the accident online & looking at them it's amazing noone was serious injured!

I hope everyone has a safe New Years Eve! Talk to you in 2021 🥳🍾🕛🎉

Hope you and hubby are both feeling better!!! Sorry to hear about you brother in law, and grand daughter. It's really incredible she was not injured more!!! I'm very happy for that!!! I know what you mean about 2021. We all hope it's better but there are so many problems in our world, so it's hard to think that a new year will bring much improvement. At least there is hope on the horizon with vaccines even if it will take more time. I guess all we can do is to be the change we seek and treat others how we would like to be treated with dignity and respect and compassion. Happy New Year Sherry!!!
