I slept in, in my own bed this morning 😴😊 Made it worth it to drive thru the Atlanta traffic last night to get home.

Down or holding steady on the scales...depends on how you look at .2 lbs. I went over in calories the past couple of days. Sunday night I had a huge baked sweet potato at Jasons Deli with the salad bar. I tried to choose "good" stuff when I filled my plate. Then I had 2 more butter cookies at my sisters' place....cause they were there. 🙄

Yesterday, after my Sister in law's Mom's funeral we went to the church her parents have attended many years. They had prepared a true Southern comfort food meal of fried chicken, ham, macaroni & cheese, veggies, rolls & desserts. Cause, that's what you do in Georgia. I ate a plate full. I did only take a spoonful of everything, but turning it down felt disrespectful. And it all tasted very good. I didn't have dessert cause I had eaten a cheese danish I picked up at the visitation earlier that morning & tucked in my purse. I haven't eaten a Danish in a long time even though I do love them. I filled a box with some food to bring back to my hubby, who had remained at home with a bad cold & our dogs. So dinner last night was a second fried chicken thigh & 2 glasses of Pinot Grigio.

We're staying in tonight and will have a bottle of Champagne to ring in the New Year. We often go out on New Year's Eve, but I think hubby & I are both content to be low key this year.

Tomorrow I'm going to the funeral for my dear friend's daughter who died Dec . 26th unexpectedly. She was only 22. My heart is broken for my friend....she was their only child....a sweet, sensitive girl who loved horses & the outdoors. Such a loss.
151.0 lb Lost so far: 21.8 lb.    Still to go: 16.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Such a loss! So sad to hear! This time of year everyone seems to pass away- 3 acquaintances this week- but that young just hits you differently and having my own children-Don't know how I'd survive the loss.
