Day 5 of a planned 5 days of ‘no solid food’ fasting
Because I’ve been sick, I haven’t had a chance to 🏃🏾♂️ run this week, but, I had the best week of weight loss in months (8 pounds in 5 days!). This was really puzzling me until I looked at my over the counter cough medicine as I was about to take it.
I Googled the ingredients and as I suspected it has pseudoephedrine. Basically it affects the body like speed. It is not enough to make you high (when taken as directed), but, the effect on the metabolism is the same; Take speed and you-will-lose-weight.
Anyway, I am fully recovered so no more cough medicine. I will try to run today…

The drug also goes after the “cold” and suggests rest. Glad you’re feeling better, now go RUN!!!😎😎😎😂😂

Excellent recovery! (I once mistakenly took pseudoephedrine (Sudafed) and chlorpheniramine (Chlor-Trimeton) at the same time while I was at work! It wasn't "fen-phen" (fenfluramine/phentermine - the dangerous diet combo found to cause heart issues in the 1990s), but it made me feel really loopy. Never having taken any "street drugs," I have no idea if it was a similar feeling, but it was scary. I'm glad you're okay, Adef!
