That is too bad. If complaining is what it takes. Just bring it.

Sorry to hear that - it is definitely very tough to get a job the older we get. Don't give up - it's a new year and something can come along any day. You've got the weight stuff - don't stress too much.

Stress has a BIG impact on weight. I shot up by 10 lbs last month when my daughter had complications from an outpatient procedure and ended up in the hospital for a week. I was eating healthy (it was the only thing I had control over so I wasn't giving that up), but super stress and not nearly enough sleep. Sometimes you just have to step back, recognize that you have been hit hard and admire your own biology. Your body did exactly what it was designed to do and stored resources while you prepare for battle!

Sorry about that job. There is something that is for you. Must agree with conicassity, stress impacts weight along with the immune issues you are tackling. Get it out! We are here to listen and support. 💚

Only 50? My goodness, you're still very young, and from what I can tell by your pictures, very healthy. Age is just a number. You will find a better job opportunity than those guys...they were really jerking you around. You probably would have been miserable working for them, anyway! So, lets concentrate on what's next...What do you enjoy doing...I mean REALLY enjoy the heck out of? Look for something in that area and work will become a pleasure. After all, we spend a huge chunk of our day doing our work, so shouldn't we be enjoying it? Talk to us girl...let us help you discover the perfect job for you.

If you really think the age is a factor, try streaking your hair with darker die to give yourself more of an ‘ageless’ or ‘could be any age’ appearance. Or even look at temporary rinses or washes. LOL There’s a reason these products make so much money. LOL I’m 56 and wouldn’t want to try looking right now, too many years on my face. LOL But your experience will shine through in your demeanor and presentation! 🙋🏻

Sorry to read that you didn't get the job. But - I got my previous job at 60 and I'm looking again - it can be done! I also advise you dye your hair - don't give them an excuse to label you.

your hair is beautiful - please do not color it

Your hair IS beautiful! That’s why I mentioned the rinses and washes as they are ‘temporary’ and meant to wash oit of your hair completely over time. Or you could just go the wig route. 🤷🏻‍♀️I love my grey hair, but I don’t love all people’s reactions to it. And when you are trying to sell yourself, you try to make sure they have no incentive not to buy! LOL 🙋🏻 Good luck on your search.
