Bill mcGill's Journal, 03 August 2018

Ok just reset my goal to 135 lb. I want a “safety zone” so when I do eat a lot I have some wiggle room like for that nice sausage gravy and biscuit breakfast posted recently or dining while traveling.
140.0 lb Lost so far: 33.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Safety zone. I like how you put that. I’m setting my goal down another 5 too - same reason.

That’s the exact reason why I want a final weight of 120. Ideal is 126 so it gives me some wiggle room lol.

We were supposed to go on somewhat of a cross country drive from here (fl) to Colorado I 2 weeks but due to my wife having a sprained foot it was cancelled. Whew!!!! I was sweating bullets wondering how I’m gonna at least maintain my weight. We still gonna do a trip but way shorter. If anybody has any suggestions on how to travel and eat right I’m open. We always get a room with a kitchenette so we can shop and prep our dinners. I have stopped eating lettuce salads as most of the dressings are too high in calories. I do a lot of fresh sliced garden vegetables like cubes, tomaters and bell pepper. Lunch will be the challenge

I take along an ice chest and a rubber tub for snacks. Pack water, precut and weighed veggies already portioned out, protein bars or other healthy snacks etc. I also look up restaurants in the area and select some that have decent food that will fit within my diet. I make a list of restaurants name, address, food and nutrition so that I can plug it in easily. If not already in the app I fill out the new food information from the websites nutritional page. As for dressing, look at Kraft brand light Italian. I’ve found two different ones I like. One is 25 and the other is 35 calories per serving. I don’t remember which but one is strong so I use half a serving on a salad that fits in a cereal bowl. The light ranch that I’ve tried tasked funny and just made me want real ranch.

Thanks peeperjj great ideas! That’ll work for me. When I do a road trip fast food makes sense as they save time and money but not much of any thing else. ❤️❤️❤️
