SISTER HAS THE KETO FLU...good Tuesday morning...sister is going thru the keto flu...told her I can relate to what shes going thru...been there done that...but told her its just her body detoxing off all the sugar that shes cut from her body...both of us went cold turkey on the no sugar on Friday nite when nutritionist came over with our samples and with what we ordered to take care of the snacking...

nutritionist brought over cheese cake bites..chocolate protein muffins..no sugar cookies...and some pudding...but not sure what its name is...all very good but the cheese cake , an the pudding in a container the size of recesses peanut butter cup sizes..im talkin the pb cups you get in the family bags..not the ones you get in the package at the check out counter...lol...

I found couple of recipes on fs..that I think might be close to what nutritionist might make on fs...

making the cheese its from pepper jack cheese has helped me a lot with my snacking thru the day and that's what I was looking for...something to keep me from snacking on bad food ...which is getting more scarce around here ..having gone thru the cabinets an freezer an cleaning out the kitchen once again..didn't find as much this time as we did the first time we cleaned it out..but still found a few things..mostly sugar related...but now that ..that's gone..sister an I can refocus once again on what we plan to achieve...

nutritionists asks us both first time we seen here what we wanted to accomplish...both my sister an I want to release the weight...an to eat healthier then we have in a very long time..i eat failrly clean but from time to time chocolate comes home from Walmart with me...hoping to break the habit...she also suggested that i drink my protein mix an have my half a bannana 3 hours before bed time ...said body would burn carbs off while i sleep...and yes its working nicely...was surprised to hear her say that but have been doing it..and its showing on the scales..even though scales had gone up a few before we met her..

nutritionists goes by the gluten-free and paleo-themed, weighed, portioned ....set for each client...


A gram of carbohydrates has 4 calories
A gram of protein has 4 calories
A gram of fat has 9 calories

this is my second journal for today as the first one an this one I worked on in my notepad but forgot to save it...needless to say..i liked the first journal better...

Very interesting journal. I've been clearing out the sugary items in my house too, but instead of putting them in the bin, I've been eating them! Not such a good idea. Like you, I think they're all gone and then they pop up again in the freezer or at the back of the cupboard. I'm not buying any more. Going to make February work for me. Have a great day 🙂

going cold turkey is only as hard as you make it..just a matter of deciding what you want to get off of an putting your mind to it...or like me..i started making the cheese its to replace the chocolate habit..an really i dont think it was a need for chocolate..just needed something to snack on...

when cravings for a snack I eat plain popcorn with no butter and no salt. 4 cups 155 cal. I split it and have 2 cups during the day and another 2 cups between 6-7pm.

For keto flu, broth or bouillon! And water...lots of water. Keto is naturally water-shedding, so have her up the salt intake. I'm so proud of you both!
