Disaster Averted! So I tried to match my food intake as best as possible today to what I have done Monday and Tuesday but I think my calories were too low yesterday because all of a sudden I got a HUGE urge to get out of my seat and go out and grab ANYTHING around lunch time. My hunger went from 0 - 100 really quickly. I already calculated my foods for the day and now I had to go back in there and make adjustments. Being true to oneself is very difficult but if you want results, you have to be accountable. I finally figured it out and believe it or not, I was able to incorporate Wendy's into my intake and I will be able to stay at 43.48 grams of carbs for the day (A large chili, 1/2 of a garden salad and 1/2 of a packet of dressing.) I had to kill the scheduled serving of yummy cashews with my dinner tonight just so I could slide in that glass of merlot. Monday's carb total 25.69, Tuesday 21.38 and today will be 43.48. I hope this bump up in carbs doesn't screw things up too much. Sorry for this long post, however this may save someone from really going overboard. I didn't want it to be a post about how I screwed, rather that of exercising a little control. I feel better after eating that food and sharing what's going on in my head.

Nice way to recover - I think 24 hour fasts are difficult - I think you were going from dinner to dinner, right? I drink Bulletproof coffee so I get some fats in the morning - but do 16:8 intermittent fast and eat my food between like 12:00pm or 1:00pm and 8:00pm or 9:00pm

Good job! I spent all day yesterday talking myself out of going out and buying myself a birthday cake. This stuff takes over your brain, and it feels good to exercise control and not overindulge! Sticking with it has been your issue for a while now, so finding ways to stick with whatever you're choosing to stick with is probably the most important thing for you. Great job finding the way today!

I like how you were able to make the adjustments you need to stay on track. Life rarely follows our plans, so being able to roll with it is important. Good job.

Thanks HCB,kpwcalories and izzypup68. I rocked it Monday and Tuesday. I think I will bring in my Chili to the office tomorrow so if I get the urge, I can warm up a little bit of it. I swear it was like a monster inside of me talking control telling me to get up and order EVERTHING when you get to your destination. I did it I survived. Guess what, 300 calories later, I'm good. I can make it to tonight. Winners slay monsters!

Good job Ches! I, much like you, tend to not be bothered by eating the same meals day after day. I love omelettes and I have and could eat them every night, but after about 5 replicated meals, my body starts up cravings for other things. Usually it is a lack of some nutrient that it needs to function that it is not getting from your current eating plan. I change up the ingredients in my omelette, add mushrooms or peppers, switch from sausage to ham or beef or chicken. sometimes simply adding a salad to my meal is all that is required. As you are just starting off with IF you also may be not eating enough during your eating window. Take a look at your full diet calendar in the month view and check your daily averages and your average macros in the pie chart at the bottom. I have problems keeping my daily averages above 1,000 calories. I don't look so much at what I have in a day as I do what my average is over a week or month. Today I could eat 1800 calories, but if I only ate 900 yesterday it only makes for a slight variation in my daily average. With doing that, some days if your body is hungry, give it more food because you have probably been shorting it. Good save on the Wendy's stop. There are much worse things you could have come away with :)

Excellent choice of food from Wendy's! I wouldn't have thought to grab a bowl of chili and the salad. Awesome!

Thannks Raj, CatHerder, Suzy, Debra & Jim. I am so excited from not only the input all has provided, but I just started reading 3 books that have solidified my decision to embrace LCHF lifestyle, not diet. Did I mention that I am jumping out of my seat with excitement. Look out for what I have to share about what I have learned and my amazing results in an upcoming post. Trying to save it to Monday when I do my weigh in.

Nice! Making adjustments is key. When I have a craving and want to indulge, I try to do it early during the day so I can adjust the rest of my intake. Sometimes when goodies come into the house, I wait until the next day to enjoy them. They taste just as good. IMO, it's easier than trying to burn it off later.

Great news Ches!! Pre planning is awesome, post adjustments work too...when I've had a big calorie day (or two), I'll follow up with some lighter calorie days and increase my exercise time...every little bit helps keep the weekly (and monthly) totals in line.
