Hello to my FS friends,
I love to pop in and see you all continuing to do your best to live healthy lives! I have been away from the site for a while, but reading notifications occasionally, so I still feel a sense of connection and accountability to the people on FS who helped me so much over the past year.
Yes, a year already! Maintenance has been treating me pretty well, but I feel like it is still a work in progress. I definitely have good and bad days, eating-wise. I have been avoiding the scale that I had become sort of obsessed with for a while, but my clothes still fit and I still feel great, so I consider myself successful so far. I have become much more in touch with what my body needs. I can feel when I start to go too far off the rails and can correct myself. Hopefully, I will be able to keep that up for the rest of my life and not have to lose that weight again.
I have been getting plenty of exercise. Hiking has become my favorite! I have logged over 60 miles so far this year. My dog loves me more than ever. I still go regularly to the gym and sometimes walk with a group of folks in the neighborhood. (I call those my flat walks as compared to the foothills and mountains I have become accustomed to on my hikes. :))
