Lots of deep cleaning- spring cleaning I guess- and rearranging of furniture, packing up the winter decor and reopening the sun porch. We just didn't have much of a winter this year- which is fine with me. So even though it isn't quite March- the weather being 50-70 degrees most days isn't matching the look of my interior and I don't approve. Decor and scents in my home have to be seasonally appropriate. I suspect I am not the only one. The pups love looking out the sun porch windows so they didn't appreciate that it was closed up for winter. There is a heating vent out there but the windows aren't sealed well. Not worth having it open year round. Getting ready to go with the hubs and oldest daughter to the nearby state park to walk with the dogs. My youngest went to the gym. I am proud of her. She has been lifting pretty routinely the last few weeks and is down 6 pounds. I am not getting there more than just 5-6 times a month so I am hoping to improve that. My exercise this weekend has come from managing the endless mess in my house- sweeping, mopping, shaking rugs, scrubbing baseboards and a few windows. There is enough left for me to clean the remainder of the day away but I have run out of steam. I'll see how I do on the trails and look for one that says moderate or easy. ;)

I don't have seasonal decor in my house, just bedding. As I was putting clean sheets on the bed this morning I told myself this will be the last week for flannel sheets and the flannel comforter. But I've been fooled before with a few nice days in February and then winter returns!

I started cleaning my pool and moved all of the firewood out of my tiki bar today, I keep my bedroom bright all year around with pinks and yellows, but the spare rooms and living room need some “springy” bedding and furniture covers… Isn’t it a great feeling to ready for warmer days? Our winter has been mild in NC, but I love love love the hot temps when they arrive

Yep, candles need to be appropriately scented for the seasons. I also change the scents of hand soaps & lotions. I did a little Valentine decor for February but I'm anxious to change everything for Easter & Spring. We're working on the outside....doing some much needed pruning. I can't wait to get back in the gardens! For now I've settled for adding violas to some pots on the front porch & one planter in the front yard.

I thought i was the only weirdo who changes my room scents by season. My house currently smells like “toasted marshmallows” in the front room and some breezy ocean tropical thing in the back rooms. All over eau de dog, I’m sure, but being nose blind to it is a good thing, I guess. 😜 🌴

Still quite cold here (I'm in the Northeast), but we are getting some 50 degree weather the next couple of days. I'm totally a seasonal person too. I also love using my clothesline esp. for sheets because I love the fresh smell. If my hubby hadn't taken it down (it was beyond repair), I'd have stuff out today!! As for cleaning the house, the struggle is real with me! I def. need to find help again!

proud, and slightly jealous, of you, DP. please, send me your motivation... im still in the 1st trimester slump and doing dishes and clearing counters for my fiancee is the most housework ive been managing lately. Excited for your daughters weight loss success! sounds like warm weather will lead to great things! we definitely havent hit spring yet up here in SD!!!

Dazey- have you ever watched cleaning videos on YouTube? I find them super motivational. I used to watch lifting for gym motivation. I guess I need to try that again. 🤔

Ill have to try that! Thanks DP! Motivation is unreliable, its discipline that keeps us going back.

That's true.

Makes me think of my mother, spring cleaning was a top to bottom thing and she'd put us all to work. No scented candles for her, the house just smelled clean.

Shir I’m just like your mother 🥰🥰🥰

You don't need a formal workout with all that cleaning going on!
