meepersjeepers's Journal, 05 November 2023

My body really likes to stay in the 140's. This happened last time and I hate this part of the journey. I'm in-between sizes and going through my closet for clothes I haven't worn in 3 years is kinda annoying and disheartening.

My husband has been so supportive and says funny things like, "Honey you gave birth less than 4 months ago and somehow I'm the only one with love handles. Like come on now, give yourself some grace. You look amazing." He keeps me on track and in a positive mood along with being realistic. Unfortunately, I hate the whole "snapping back" part of postpartum because it lands me back into that delusional mindset. It creeps up when strangers compliment my body then share how they were able to lose all their baby weight 2 or 4 weeks postpartum.

On the brighter side, my daughter learned how to blow raspberries. So that's pretty cute 🥰❤️ I also snagged 2 size small dresses for $6 a piece and they fit so comfortably (not pictured). I just gotta keep on smiling and push forward ⏩

I hope all of you are doing well!

I don’t call people I don’t know liars very often, so we’ll go with postpartum amnesia. That’s what they have. Your legs are looking good, I assume the rest of your body will follow in turn. You are amazing and those baby toes need to be tickled.

What a wonderful hubby to be supportive like that!! Blowing raspberries awwww…adorable! It varies for all women losing weight after child birth. I agree with hubby, show yourself some grace. :) Right now you need good quality foods for energy!

Katsolo, thank you so much and I honestly was almost thinking the same thing. Everyone around me was saying how quickly they lost weight. I definitely felt like a loser for a minute 😅 Also, I am constantly kissing her little toes ❤️

StormsGirl, And that's what I've been focusing on this past week! Healthy fats and whole foods to keep me going. I went to Aldi's the other day and scored some good deals on some healthy, tasty treats. I'm just worried for the holidays and other people's cookin'.

meepersjeepers, yes. You know. You are right. In time your body will be your own again. Your feelings are very okay and normal. You deserve to enjoy your baby without being harried by society's mad chanting about what it means to be female. Ignore it all. It is hogwash. You know. When you are ready, you will make changes. Until then, tune everything else out.

You will lose your weight in time. You're looking pretty good already ❤️ If you do Instagram look up Me.my.chins.and.I. She lost over 100 lbs. before getting pregnant. She's had her baby & in the process of losing the "baby weight". She's very inspirational about trusting the process & loving yourself.
