Had hot dog ( I know...😝) and halo top ice cream last night....
Ive been having some trouble with altitude here. I have heart issues and did get ok from Dr but he said I would be effected, and I am. I get weak after being out, even for a short period of time. We went downtown yesterday and walked about 2 miles up n down Main St. I was so weak and dehydrated that I was lethargic for rest of day. Gotta remember my water!!!!💜

Is it HCM? I have it and heat humidity & altitude really affect me.

I love hot dogs! I have to avoid them per my doctor (no processed meats!) but once in awhile I just have to have one. Used to be at Costco but I haven't been there in 2 years. I have to really focus on drinking enough water. Sorry you are having issues with the altitude.

Fritzy, they were Nathan's and it was loaded with sauerkraut and banana peppers. My husband is from NJ so he grew up eating them..every once in awhile, like you, I indulge. It's ok,we always get back on track!💜💜

Margeritem, I have a pacemaker, which I do fine with and last year I was diagnosed with an enjection fraction. It means that my heart pumps blood in ok but only pumps it back into my body ay 41%.

ironically, that salt might be good for you at the moment until you balance things out. I've only gotten altitude sickness once. it was no fun, kicked my butt. I know you're going through something slightly different, but take care.

What katty said, I almost had a heat stroke once working out outside in 90+ deg and high humidity. Luckily I was able to make my way inside n cool myself in the ac. Everything was swirling and dark and felt like puking my guts out. What I noticed was my sweat hasn’t burn my eyes for awhile before that. I was sweating too much daily that my sodium was depleted. Now I feel safe when I have to squint from the sweat in my eyes 😂

Margaritas are a better way to get your electrolytes and sodium for hot & humid days 😋🍹

Jeez Diana, please take care of you. I know you are but...I'm a mother/grandmother I get the 'worries' :-)

With some time your body will adjust to the altitude. Do less than what you are accustomed to doing and soon you'll be able to do more. :-)

Superman, that's pretty much how I felt. I was super nauseous and the weakness was intense. I am a bit better today. Just finished 30 min on treadmill but I only did a fast walk and incline only on 5. I made sure I drink a good amount of water. Livinbreezy, thank you for your sweet concern, I learned my lesson, always take water with me!💜💜💜. Katsolo, I think I will by some drinks with electrolytes, hopefully they make some low sugar ones!💜💜. Justbananas, what, are you trying to give me a heart attack?! Lol jk😉🤣🤣 I like your suggestion! I can just imagine sitting there drinking my margarita and licking my glass clean of the salt...funny!😋🍹🍹

Be more mindful to your own needs, please. IK if you're like me, you think of everyone else and NEVER think of yourself until it's too late....

Be careful !!

You don't need to fork over money to Coca-Cola for Gatorade to get your electrolytes. You can make your own by simply stirring a little bit of regular table salt into a glass of water. That's it. Gatorade is just the sugared and artificially fruit-flavored version (to make it palatable). I stand by the margarita if one insists on drinking their calories.

@Diana1234 before I eat my nathan's hot dogs I boil alot of the salt out of them and then prepare them the way I want and it still taste good.

Take care of yourself, lady! You are one fit cookie. If you aren't feeling great, don't worry about anything but resting and enjoying things at a slow pace!!
