Thanks, everyone. It was a good day. An odd day like happy with sad mixed in but we made it through. David managed to stay awake long enough to eat and then sleep and head in for another 12 hour shift. The oldest brought a friend who hasn't celebrated Thanksgiving for a long time so she had fun. Too much food, some board games and home.

Good to hear all went well. We usually have some tears/watery eyes at our TG table, when saying what we are thankful for, but someone always makes a comment and we laugh and it becomes lighthearted. How nice your daughters friend was able to join you. That's what it's all about. ❤
