Toni Bourlon's Journal, 22 June 2021

So I stuck with the (roughly) 1300 calories yesterday, and am down 1/2 lb, WOO HOO! So what happens today? I get to work, and a co-worker has brought a homemade Reeses peanut butter cup that is SO BIG she broke it into thirds and shared it. Just what I needed, right? But I'm pleased to announce that, after she left, I took 2 bites & threw the rest away. Yeah, it was good & tasty, and I could have eaten the whole thing, but I did not. Patting myself on the back here. Also recording my rough estimate of how many calories I ate of it on FatSecret. I'm guilty of frequently eating 1 or 2 (or 5) of those Dove chocolate squares & NOT recording them, but these things add up. So yeah, accountability is a thing. Back to my planned protein shake for my mid-morning snack. Lunch is leftover honey chicken over 1/2 cup brown rice & a nectarine, dinner will be Taco Tuesday made with 85% lean ground beef, then a few rounds of a cardio strength training circuit routine I've been working on. Stick to the plan!

They don’t call it junk food for nothing. Good for you for having a bite or two and pitching the rest. I too am recording the very smallest portions of chocolate and even things like grapes which I can eat like candy.

Good job! That took a lot of fortitude! It the sauces that seem to get me. I had no idea how many calories are in remoulade sauce until i logged it this weekend. Yikes! I guess I'll think twice before pouring it on next time!
