JustBananas's Journal, 21 October 2020

The scale remains locked at 145, which is annoying, but I doubt it will be for long. I booked the movers and the plan for today is to pack all the stuff that I don't use everyday (which, as we all know, means multiple bags of trash and donations). Moving = weight loss, right?

The kitchen is being packed last, as I don't want to resort to takeout for food. I'm trying to avoid that sinkhole.

Will try to head outside often, as I dislike living in a construction zone of tight spaces due to boxes stacked everywhere.

The new place has a pool, which I intend to incorporate into my daily exercise routine, and it's also close to some great hiking trails (and the beach, of course: would never move far from that!). So fresh start, new neighbors, new exercise routine. Feeling positive about it.

Of course, am procrastinating on the packing thing. Instead have spent all morning updating my address on all my utilities, online sites that I have stuff delivered from, bills, etc. Not a big calorie burn on that :)

keep on keeping on, I'm hovering at 140, the minute I came home to work during lock down I gained 4 lbs.... now I'm back in the office as an essential worker, and still are hovering at the 140 mark. We have spent every weekend in our back yard in the "Catio" hanging out with the cat, grilling, eating cheese and drinking wine. Its been fun but I need to say "no" to cheese and wine more often. Luckily my husband and I get along and the cat is enjoying the time. You are not alone we are all just trying to figure out this new life. I feel blessed that we both have our jobs, and that we have stayed healthy so far. Our family members are well too. Sounds like you have a good plan for the move too.

1.O: I will not be bringing in any large household appliances, e.g. washer/dryer, so the pain is minimized. Nonetheless, every time I've moved I end up covered in bruises, and muscles are sore for days afterwards. Sometimes I've moved again before I ever put anything up on the walls. Thinking positive, I will have new neighbors so the angry environment will be gone. Hooray!

It's a relative story. And I learn from other people's experiences :)

I'm teasing.

I always assume people are joking on FS -- no need to clarify. How's your relationship with the boxy appliance going? Not everyone forgives a drop down the stairs. Does it eat more than just socks?

It locked Monday with my son's clothes inside. Took me 3 washes to get it to release. But the previous owner had the same issue. The drop actually fixed it for a bit.

So much to look forward to with a pool in the mix. Awesome calorie burners with packing. Good luck!

Lol.. too funny about One’s washer! 😂 Bananas, you crack me up. Best of luck with packing and the move. The new place sounds so perfect! I’m one of those weird people that actually likes packing and moving because it gives me the opportunity to go through old and random stuff and just toss and donate what I don’t need. I’m a hoarder that craves minimalism, so getting rid of things I don’t use becomes a cathartic experience. Hope those moving doms go away quickly. Be careful with large appliances.
