Oh baby. I'm so sorry. Been there, done that, it's awful. You should feel better tomorrow.  

Katsolo, I hope so. This is terrible. 

I’ve never had an abscess but I did have all four wisdom teeth out at once. So impacted. The fears are the worse part, it wasn’t as bad as everyone lovingly told me. Ugh. Why on earth do people share their nightmares when you’re already having one??? I got to the place I point blank told people not to tell me their experience when they got their wisdom teeth out if it happened to come up in convo. 🙄 You will be absolutely ok. Do what they tell you. Listen to their orders. It truly makes recovery so much quicker and easier. Sorry for this long post, didn’t intend to say all of this, but maybe you can take away some peace from it. I wish you well. ❤️❤️🙏🙏 

It will feel sooo good when they pull it and all that pressure causing the pain goes away. You got this 💪 

My comment was on the current pain from the abscess. I don't remember a single thing about having my wisdom teeth out, I was blissfully unaware, so it wasn't that bad.  

a little mountain man hillbilly cure i had a bad abscessed tooth and i took asprin and crushed it mixed it with water and made a paste packed it on the tooth it killed the nerves so i could stand the pain till i seen the dentist to get it plucked from my mouth 

Mine was bad because I waited to long to get to the dentist. I was on business travel in California and needed to get through my work out there. I then flew home and called the dentist. He sent me immediately to the oral surgeon. Apparently the oral surgeon didn’t want to wait to put me out so he gave me some local and then yanked it. I thought I was going to pull the arms off the chair. But it felt so much better after the tooth was out. Lesson learned to get to the dentist ASAP.  

UGH. I had an abscessed wisdom tooth a long time ago, and I sure hope the pain for you is not too terrible. Mine was so infected that it slid right out when the dentist pulled it (and recovery was EASY once that bad boy was out). I hope your dentist has given you a little bit of pain medication....but I do like MountainMan's suggestion.  

Jazzy it works makes ya slobber like a son of a gun for a minute or so but kills the nerve  

Thank you for the kind comments guys! I really appreciate it and I wish I made my initial appointment for the cavity, much SOONER, to avoid all of this. They gave me some pretty strong medication and it is working. I am currently not having too much pain, the pressure sucks though... cold compress have been nice. Clove oil has been a good friend too. I just can't wait for this tooth to be pulled, I wish I could just rip it out myself! 😡 

I know what your going through. I had one too when I was a teen from a broken tooth. it is true you will feel relief real soon after numbness wears off. I'll pray for comfort for you till you get in to your doctor. I'll be having mine cleaned on the 8th so I'll be thinking of you a lot that day.💐

oh my sorry hope the surgery goes well and it relieves your pain. toothaches are the worst after kidney stones I've had both before.

Mike531, Just three more days! I just woke up and the swelling has gone done a bit. Seems like the antibiotics are working well. They better be because they are HUGE horse pills 🤣 mountainman2, I will try this if the pain comes back in full force. I tried clove oil which kills the nerves and it also makes you drool... A lot haha. My pain medication is an acetaminophen/codeine type. Its extremely effective, but I'm trying to not have to take it (unless the pain is unbearable) since it's an opioid drug class. 

jazzylittleone, An abscessed wisdom tooth? Yikes that sounds excruciating! I hope mine comes out easily. Apparently, my gums are trying to grow over this infected tooth... hoping that doesn't cause too much of an issue during extraction.
