I def hate logging my weight today 😒 I didn't do anything so different from last week to gain so much but it is what it is. I've kept calories below 1000 all week and that's not working so I'm thinking about adding calories next week . I might as well since I'm not losing anyways . I've been thinking about maybe trying keto so I would appreciate any thoughts on what to eat. I do fat free as much as possible but wondering if changing things up will help .
107.0 lb Lost so far: 10.0 lb.    Still to go: 4.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I am keto and in my opinion it is a great diet if you have lots to lose but once you get a very low body fat percentage it is certainly not going to do that much. However, sometimes switching things up can be good maybe. It is the opposite of fat free and some energy will come from fats likely and then protein and carbs will be reduced to very little. I tend to eat egg, bacon, fish, meats with a few veggies on the side and use oils (good oils not processed oils), butter and bacon fats liberally. Work around what you like and go from there.

I started a combination of Keto/intermittent fasting last week after reaching a plateau with weight loss. I finally lost some weight for the first time in a month😊 I basically only eat between the hours of 11am & 7pm and do my best to only eat keto friendly food (lots of info on the internet if you start googling).

thanks for the comments Katie and liv. I'm going to experiment and see where it goes because what I've been doing def isn't working.

Large miscalculations are happening somewhere. Do you use a food scale and are you logging 24/7?

That's funny and not funny. I weighed in and gained the same amount. I admit it did bother me, but I guess it is part of the process. We will both lose next week. Keep going.

Mine goes up before it goes down, so just keep doing what you're doing although 1000 is really low.

I've never tried Keto, so have no idea on that. If you are looking for other methods to try, have you thought of or tried increasing protein/decreasing carb intakes? That, in tandem with portion control and calorie goals, may be worth trying. We all have our ups and downs. We just stick with it and fix what isn't working. 😉 Either way, I hope you finds what works best for you! 😊

I agree with Katsolo. I find my scale tends to go up before it goes down. Keep up the good work and I bet you see a weight loss the next time you weigh. I believe it's part of the process, darn it it.

More than not, fat free means processed. I eat 1200 Cal's a day and that suits me fine. 1,000 seems low. That can definitely be part of why u aren't losing. You need fat. Of course, choose fats that are healthy like avocados, olive oil, nuts etc. Hope this helps!

hi everyone.... after many years of trying I finally put everything into my weight loss goals ... I am doing the intermittent fasting 16.8 after about 18lbs down I hit a plateau and decided to change things up. I am doing the 16. 8 on fasting with one rest day and starting some Keto recipes. not necessarily following a keto plan but I am increasing my fats and protein and minimizing my carbs. so far I have reached my first goal of 20lbs down. there is alot of info out there on fasting keto and a combination of both. hope it helps ...good luck to all on this crazy ride

Don't focus on a scale. Every scale does not take into account your high sodium intake foods, BMI, muscle gain from weight training or HIIT, hormones, etc. Focus on your clothes and the energy you have to do things you previously struggled with or just couldn't do because your weight debilitated you. The aforementioned is what truly counts, not a purposeless scale. Scales exist for you to buy because marketers and advertisers need to keep their jobs and grow stocks for stockholders.

Watch taking calories too low. Your body will start holding on to what calories you are taking in.
