Ok FS says that I should be taking in 2000 calories a day to lose weight and I adjusted it down to 1500 cuz I just couldn't imagine eating that amount of food.

1500 calories and I'm still having a hard time getting all that in on a consistent basis...amazingly it seems as if it's a lot of food when it's the right food. LMAO

Went to webmd and looked into my RMR and RDI and got the following information:

RMR:
W/o exercise: 2225
W/ exercise (lightly active): 2549

RDI:
W/o exercise: 1225
W/ exercise (lightly active): 1549

Now I was thinking to change my RDI down to 1350...a nice calorie amount I think since I am having some difficulty getting it all in and not feel stuffed and whatnot. Any thoughts if this is good idea and would work? I want to lose weight (reasonably - LOL I guess I should say what I think is reasonable ;) ) of 1-2 pds a week.

My intention is also to get more exercise and activity going and not be lightly active but very active.

Any suggestions and insight would be tremendously appreciated...this is all so new to me and I don't want to botch things up.

Since You're the same weight as I am, a lot younger and I am almost sedentary at this point, I would say stay around 1500 to 1600 cals. I'm losing around two pounds a week on that and when the scales seem to be stuck, I can drop to 1300 for a day or two and actually make a difference. You don't want to go too low on a regular basis because your body will get used to it and you won't have any leeway for those occasional occurrences (birthday parties, holidays, dinner out) when you may want to splurge a little. Thanks ;) I have a desk job and sit almost 9 or more hours a day at my seat. Prior to joining FS I did almost nothing other than skip meals, eat crap meals when I did eat, go home do my cleaning and then basically veg cuz I was so wiped out. Sad to admit that. Now I'm constantly getting up and down, moving around as I work throughout the day to get that movement. I've started doing stretches and mini exercises throughout the day as well while working at my desk. Plus I'm now walking each evening and crunches daily...elliptical next.
