Kryptonite, kryptonite, kryptonite Alert!!!
Every Valentines Day, the days and shamefully weeks afterwards, I am reminded of my personal kryptonite. If you read my food dairy you will know I'm telling the truth. It's my Wife's fault that I get reminded every year. She does not like caramel or cream filled chocolates for Valentines Day. She only likes chocolate covered nuts, my kryptonite. The fats of all the different tree nuts and even the simple peanut combined with the sweetness and creaminess of milk chocolate is kryptonite. Milk chocolate covered nuts are her favorite. Any kind of chocolate combined with nuts is my personal kryptonite. I'm sure I'm the only one on FatSecret who has a food or treat that is their kryptonite. I feel so all alone being the only one on FatSecret who has a kryptonite. Please forgive me for venting, thanks...

Dude... not even close. If something I love is in the house I will eat it ALL. I love those apple strudels - I'll eat the whole box, by myself, in 10 minutes. Everyone has kryptonite.

I agree Aamaddux, I suspect that most everyone has a food or treat that is their kryptonite. It seems that the combination of fats and sugar have the most impact. I have never heard anyone say that apples are their kryptonite. But if those apples are combined with a buttery pastry crust, it's a game changer...

LOL, mine is ice cream though I must say, chocolate covered nuts is a close second. Ask her to hide it!

mine is any red meat and any potatoes with real, creamy butter.... OMG! I completely understand your plight! Ask her to keep it hidden from you.

Thanks to everyone who has commented so far. My intention in posting was to be funny but also to see if there are common threads in each of our own Kryptonites. So far, it seems everybody has their own individual preferences with a few common threads. Salt and sour seem as popular as sugar and fat. Also, I think it's important to face, understand and accept that we all have our own Kryptonite and that we are not alone...
