Kay can you consider skipping at least one of those pieces of toast and throwing in an egg of some kind— you baby texted me and said to tell her mom that she likes an occasional protein packed egg.

@kenna - Why do we have to carb shame? Can folks just eat toast and enjoy it with out the Keto/Carb police? Jimminy.

Nmporter...I think she was emphasizing balance ...that was my takeaway 😉

No I’m not gonna take away any of the toast, because it’s 35 cal toast. But the baby gets lots of protein in my smoothie which has skim milk and vanilla Greek yogurt. It’s definitely about balance. Kenna, as a fellow nurse, simply believes in patient education :-) and knows that I do struggle with protein sources. Rest assured, I ate Two packs of tuna fish for my lunch, at 16 g of protein a piece, and I also added a quarter cup of walnuts to my oatmeal for my second breakfast. It’s OK I didn’t take it as carbs shaming, I take it more as encouragement. Which I need. I’m actually a recovering anorexic and bulimic, and I tend to do things in extremes. Thank you everybody for caring to chime in on my post!

Kay— I forgot to ask how the baby shower went. Did you have a great time. I know you worked hard getting ready for it.. now you can take a deep sigh.

Kenna nope you didn’t miss it! I’m still gearing up for it, it’s Saturday! I’m sure it’s going to be wild, given the guests, kids, and pets. I’m just absolutely committed to making this the very best memory for my bf and 2 sons. And if my mom has fun that’ll be a bonus, but she’s a hard sell.

Yes it is. A low sodium diet is so diffucult. Most everything is full of sodium. But I am so going to keep on this journey to loose weight and be more healthy.

oh yes forgot what I wanted say altogether. I am proud of you for pulling this off so well. Your baby is so luck to have such a great Mommy. Trying to be healthy for yourself and then mostly healthy for a healthy baby.

Kay— someone with some artistic talent should draw or photoshop you a picture of a baby in the womb- texting and then put it on a T shirt. That would be a great memory. Have one made for her too.
