Football Sunday. Brother with brain cancer is over, husband and son are here and happy, I just got done with work and promptly was fed a killer salad. Just emerged from a hot as hell bath with warshed hair and errythang. Non-shipyard clothes on. In recliner, under blanket, intoxicatingly wonderful smells coming from the kitchen: husband is making us bacon and black eyed peas soup for dinner. The guys have chips and cookies they’re snacking on, and I’m not at all tempted. Someone’s feet stink, which helps curb the appetite 😐

My period is late, pregnancy test was negative. Time will tell. Most likely stress has changed my cycle.. would be an absolute blessing if we were pregnant but I have serious doubts about it being possible. It is what it is; the truth is, our tribe is complete with our boys. But, we had planned on adding more. Initially this endeavor is what spurred us to quit smoking, me to lose weight, and why I have not had beer in 9 months. I hope that if we aren’t pregnant, that’s something eventually we can do before I’m 40. That gives us 4 years. Gotta get daddy’s teeth fixed (we’re halfway through), buy our house and settle in (weeks away), through my 90 day probation at work (only 49 to go!) I have had 2 pregnancies where I gained a lot of weight (100 pounds). I also had 2 pregnancies which I was alone- the first time I was 18 and a freshman in college, and then the second time my husband went to Kentucky for work until our baby was 2 months old. We’d love to “do it right.” So, needless to say, we always have our fingers crossed.
Been holding onto my size 13’s just in case 😌

It’s overcast here, and rather brisk. I painted hatch doors to escape trunks and was frozen out on the flight deck all shift. One thing I didn’t mind about being overweight: never cold😆

Well I’m going to nap now. Not a lot of opportunities for me to do this, so I’m gonna relish every minute. With earplugs in, so I cannot hear my husband yelling at the television.
