My lunch today. It took me about a year to acquire taste for avocado and quinoa. Now I can't imagine my life without them... Never stop amazing me how eating habits can change!

A friend from Peru comes to visit the US every year. She brings me different types of quinoa from her country. Try some of the red or black quinoa if you can find it where you live. Good stuff, very high protein grain. Funny story: The first time she brought it here the US customs officials at the airport detained her, they didn't know quite what it was.
