~~Is Thumbalina size 10 on a Wednesday~~

So there is a Tori Amos song with the word Wednesday in it. Eventually I will run out of day of the week songs, I may go to movie quotes after that! lol Today will be a good day! I am taking my mother out for her Mothers Day dinner. We are going to Olive Garden, since she loves it so much. It will be hard to resist the bread sticks, but I will pull through! I have looked at the menu and I can either get the chicken scampi with no pasta, or I can go for their new "Chicken Caprese" which is a grilled breast with mozzarella and tomatoes with a balsamic glaze, but I would say no to that because I hate balsamic. Its bitter and gross to me. It comes with a side of parmesan crusted zucchini, probably with panko, but I can take the breading off. I am trying to plan ahead so that I dont get there and order Ziti Al Forno, which is my normal go to order. I love pasta!! lol

I could do what Deadpool suggests and just enjoy the evening and not worry about what I eat and then kick into gear the rest of the week. I know that I will be in caloric deficit because I have only been eating around 800-1000 a day recently. I am fasting at lunch, working on OMAD, and filling up at dinner time. Its hard to eat 1500 calories in one meal for me, now-a-days. Used to be easy to put away 3000+ but not anymore. Its refreshing to see that change.

We are looking at renting a car for the trip because mine is in such bad shape and we cannot afford all the repairs it would take to make it feel safe enough to drive such a distance. I know that it seems silly to be taking a trip and say that we cant afford to fix the car, but its more of a distance thing. The distance on the engine is what I am worried about. The repairs are minor, but I dont trust it to go 14hrs straight. I am a AAA member, so renting a car would only be $340 for the weekend, with unlimited miles. If anyone is a car rental agent, please message me, I would love a deal!! lol JK!!!

Today I will pray for guidance and to renew my trust in the Lord and His plan in my life. I will pray for a new craving for Him and not food that isnt good for me. I will pray for strength for the week for all of us. I will pray for blessings beyond measure and I will thank Him for all the blessings He has already given! In the Holy name of Jesus, Amen!!

I wish you all a wonderful day, full of love, laughter, and moments to be treasured forever!!

I think you can/should ask for what you need @OG. Ask for steamed zucchini instead of breaded, ask if you can substitute chicken broth for the balsamic glaze, etc. They should be knowledgeable about the components of their dishes and willing to accommodate ppl's dietary needs or taste preferences. Also, i keep getting stumped trying to think of days of the week in songs! Bupkes! So if i were you i would definitely open it up to movies. 😊

Thanks, @Becc@!! I am glad that you enjoy reading them, because I love to write and this is kind of my "work place" outlet to let off some steam!! Thanks for reading!! ~~~~~@Jen I will definitely open it up to movie quotes, lyrics are harder and harder to come by! haha. I just looked at the nutrition, there are two chicken dishes I can get with less than 15g of carbs, and the zucchini is only 5 so it must be just parm breaded, no panko, so I am excited. I will be able to continue my WOE and still enjoy the night out!

Sorry, my computer went wonky for a minute. But as long as i am posting, i did think if the Beatles lyric, "Wednesday morning at 5 o'clock as the day begins... " it's the beginning of the song "She's Leaving Home" which is kind of a somber song.

the balsamic glaze has a sweeter taste than balsamic dressing, It would probably be a delicious choice. ask to taste the glaze before ordering it?

The chicken piccata is delicious and it comes with the side of zucchini, instead of pasta.

If you're running out of musical quotes, try "Friday I'm In Love" by The Cure. I think they cover every day!

I bet you could get the balsamic on the side and try it out. I would rather have tomatoes and mozz than the other things. Have a good time!

I pray you see yourself as the beautiful, unique work in progress that God sees in you. You have come such a long way in a short time! Blessings!

Love that graphic - I hear your car woes...I have an '07 that I owe $6000 on, needs a $5000 engine replacement and our insurance will get cancelled this summer if we don't get a new roof (also $6000). Psalms 23:1 "The Lord is my shepherd, I have everything I NEED."

Where are you getting your car? I just rented for 3 weekdays and it was $90. Enterprise, midwest location, thru insurance, so maybe it was a "deal"

I too love to read your posts. And I think you should consider being some kind of a writer. Maybe submit some columns to a local daily or weekly newspaper. Call it something like " Inspirational Thoughts for Today". Share your talent as you have much ability.

Unlimited salad at Olive Garden, right? Load up on that. Maybe you can get the dish without the sauce? I totally understand renting for a long trip! I can afford to have work done on my vehicle if it breaks, but it has over 240,000 miles, so I rent when we are going somewhere that requires a long drive. I'm not quite ready to get a new vehicle and putting out a bunch of $ on a vehicle with that many miles seems like a bad idea. I'm afraid too long of a trip might cause something to break, so I just avoid them right now and get a rental.
