Hedder52's Journal, 18 January 2008

Well today is day 5 and things are getting better, even from yesterday! I guess I woke up with a whole new attitude! I don't need anyone to help me with this, if I am going to do it I am going to do it for myself and that is what matters! Thanks for all the great comments to my post yesterday, you guys are AWESOME! We were on the go last night so for dinner I didn't do good and boy did my tummy kick me for it...today I am back on track and I am so going to succeed! I am learning that I need to stay positive for myself, not just everyone else. Weekends are always hard for me, but this weekend I am making a change, I am going to force myself to do good and if I have a slip up I am not going to get down on myself, I am just going to change it...work out harder or what ever it takes. I know I will have great success if I can stick with this attitude!

Breakfast ~ Grapefruit
snack ~ Smoothie
Lunch ~ 1 cup brown rice with sauteed veggies
snack ~ apple
Dinner ~ we are going over to some friends tonight for dinner and you can't exactly tell them well you have to cook this...they are making green chili chicken enchiladas and I decided that I will have a very small portion, I am going to try to eat something before I go over there so that I don't over due it.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

You are on such a positive track - I'm so happy for you. Keep up the great work and you will get this down in no time. The weekends are the hardest, but like I always say just try and go on from there and not to worry about it. Hope you have a great weekend yourself!

Make sure you load up on the water before you go. It will keep you from overeating. Also, I have found that if you tell your friends that you are dieting, they are more than willing to help you out where dinner is concerned. What I do for the weekends is to try to stay busy, and set a timer for three hours, and when it goes off, I eat. Try to keep things with you like Go-Gurt, apples, baby carrots, etc. They fit well in a baggie in your purse. Just plan ahead and you can do it.
