Day 4...and still doing good! Yesterday I was in a meeting all day long and wasn't able to eat like I would have liked too, but I did good. Didn't get to exercise, so today I will push myself a little harder to make up for it! I am still feeling good, but really frustrated with my hubby...he told me he was going to do this with me, but no such luck! He tries to be supportive, but how is it supportive when he is baking cookies and eating fries and all that yummy stuff right in front of me. I really am mad at him right now and he just doesn't understand why! I asked him the other night about it and he said I don't need to lose weight, just tone up....men...can't live with them can shoot them, but boy would I like too! :-) None the less, I feel like I am doing good and sure hope the scale will say as much when I weigh in next week. If not then I am going to take a new look at things and maybe just say screw the diet and just learn to accept where I am at! But I am still pushing forward in hopes that I will do great on my day 10 weigh in! Heading to the gym at lunch today...time to push!!!

Breakfast ~ 1 8 oz light raspberry yogurt
snack ~ Grapefruit
Lunch ~ Lentil Soup
snack ~ smoothie
Dinner ~ Brown Rice

Wishing you all the best!

I'm sorry your hubby isn't Mr. Supportive - baking cookies and eating the good stuff when you are eating brown rice sucks! My hubby and I have only been married for two years. He never saw me at the weight I am now - I had lost about 40 lbs before we met. Now I am 35lbs heavier and it IS effecting our marriage. He wants to lose 25 lbs, but he's too thin when he is down that low. He will say he is going to start his "regime" but then he doesn't work out and we end up getting pizza. That's what happened last Sat. Then he said "the regime" starts tomorrow and I was like, yes it is going to start tomorrow. So since Sunday I have been working out and eating better. I make the dinners, so he has to eat what I make ;o) Like you said, men.

Oh, I know what you are saying girl! Last night mine and the kids were eating ice cream in front of me! Mine tells me exactly the same thing "Honey, you don't need to lose weight, just need to tone up here and here (as he points to my body)". Oh, and I love you just the way you are speach. That could just put me over the edge sometimes. This time around has been a little different. I haven't said much to him about it and I still haven't told him how much I have lost. I think you will do just fine on the weigh-in day. You're doing great and just stay positive.

Don't give up!!! My hubby isn't really sticking to the diet either...he eats yummy stuff in front of me too, but I just keep telling myself how much healthier and better I am going to feel. You're doing this for you...and no one else!! Don't let him get you down. I know it can get frustrating, boy do I know, but know that you have a strong support system right here. We won't let you fail!!

You are doing fantastic! Your positive outlook is a huge plus. Ahhh..the old hubby baking and chomping on the good stuff...they all do it. They truly have no idea on the struggles that we women go thru to feel good about ourself. Just stay the course and he will follow suit once he realize how HOT you are looking! :)

You are doing great, keep up the good work. When we trim down they notice and they know that others notice too, this makes them a little insecure. That's all that is. Maybe you can find a low-fat cookie receipe and give it to him to make so you can share a cookie with him. Remember it isn't about dieting (exactly) but changing the way we eat so we don't have to diet.

Just remember, men can lose weight more easily than we can, too. It's hard to change, and he might be afraid of that change. The shrink in me thinks that he might be afraid of what your change will mean for him. But, then again, this opinion isn't worth the paper it is written on. ;o)
