Journal for Sunday, Jan 27 This afternoon & evening I consciously experienced emotional eating. I have done it UNconsciously all my life. I was stressed and I wanted to eat and eat and eat, till I was full. I chose salad to fill up on. I made a huge bowl: 3 cups lettuce, 1 cup cubed feta cheese, & 5 cups chopped veggies (cucs, tomato, peppers onion), & a Greek salad dressing. Total 9 cups of salad, enough for 3 very large full meal servings, to eat over the next 3 days. At 6 pm I took a photo of a plateful because it was to pretty and colourful, but I was only planning to eat about 1/2 the plate, and put the rest in the fridge till tomorrow. I binged on it and ended up consuming the whole plate by 9 pm. ( 1 1/2 servings). But the binge did not stop there, I also ate the 2 left-over servings of yogurt dessert I made the day before, a cup of hot chocolate, and a whole 100 g 75% dark chocolate bar, that is supposed to last me 5 days. Now I feel ill, and I dread what my guts are going to experience tomorrow! CRAP! And I don't dare step on the scale Monday morning.

I feel your pain! Thats exactly what happens to me if I allow myself a treat, like chocolate. I tell myself I will only have just that one as a reward, and then the bottom falls out. You fid it with a lovely salad, looks amazing! Be strong, don't look at your scale, just get back on the horse and keep going.
