Richard Ryan's Journal, 27 January 2018

I just found out how high my cholesterol is. My blood pressure was slightly elevated as well. Must have a major diet change. I have never been a label reader. It is very difficult at this time to eat a healthy diet that tastes good. I hope that as time goes on, I’ll figure it out.

You'll figure it out. Label reading is a good start, it's amazing the stuff that's in food these days. The good thing is that there are usually better options of the same product. One step at a time.

When I see the amount of sugar in a food item, does that indicate all sugar including added sugar? Help me to understand that number. Thank someone in advance.

I'm learning myself. You'd be surprised how much sugar is in things.
