ecanner's Journal, 11 March 2010

Well, I've updated my historical weight entries starting with the Doctor's appointment that kicked off the diet with a weigh in of 317. I was pushing upwards of my top weight of 325.

The next morning I had a weight of 310. How did I lose 7 lbs over night? Well, I took off my shoes (which I later weighed at 1.5lbs each). I have also found that depending on how much junk I have in my pockets it can add a few pounds to the weigh in. For future Doctor Office weigh-ins all my pockets are empty and my shoes are off.

Unfortunately I didn't really keep track of my weight until Feb. 6, although I did weigh myself everyday, at about the same time (unless I happened to sleep in that day :) ).

Up until about the 20th of February it was a diet only plan with very little additional exercise. The 20th is when my Total Trainer from Bayou Fitness arrived. Since then I have worked out 3 or 4 times a week. I am looking to start swimming again for cardio workouts.

I've set my goal weight to 250. However this goal was what I wanted to have lost by the end of the year. The goal after that will be 225. Depending on how fast the weight is dropping, I may even look to go lower.

I am setting short term personal goals for myself as well. These provide me with milestones that once reached give me that feeling of accomplishment that keeps me motivated. I will post the next short term goal as my current goal is reached. Right now, I'm looking to reach 275 by May 1.
