Well, today we joined the gym. Yeah! It was great! I did 12 minutes walking on the treadmill, then a 30 minute weight circuit, and then a sweaty 30 minutes on the elliptical!! I am super proud that we finally got started! (and the gym is absolutely amazing, I'm sure I'll want to be there all of the time, more like a spa than a gym!!)

Now for the bad news. I can't seem to get my eating under control :( I am eating some much better things, but still lots of crap. I think I need to go hard core SBD in order to eliminate the sugar cravings. I was feeling so lethargic this afternoon (post workout, post delicious, healthy lunch) but after a bit of candied popcorn, I felt fine. I think I was in carb withdrawl...I need to PHASE 1 my diet, probably go into withdrawl for a day or so, but it'll be so worth it....one step at a time right?

Definitely one step at a time, Miss Cndgoose! You can do it! Joining the gym and actually going is really gonna help you feel better and lose weight. I find that the more I work out, the less I want to eat. Like today my kids and I scaled a HUGE mountain range in Arizona, then I left them at home with my husband and I went biking alone all over the neighborhood. Then I took my kids on a walk around the neighborhood. Now I'm staying upstairs AWAY from the kitchen. Good luck to both of us!!

Oh, I neglected to mention that after our final walk around the neighborhood, I made Chicken Parmesan and steamed vegetables out of the yellow South Beach Diet cook book for our dinner.
