Sigh, I keep losing and gaining the same 8 lbs. I cut calories and have been staying in my macros. I have been staying under on my carbs. I just don't get why I don't lose weight. My Husband is worried that I am not eating enough. I certainly didn't lose weight before Keto. I'll keep moving on. Maybe something will happen.

Perks54, from the synopsis that I read of Dr Bernstein, I am doing what he suggests already. I wish more doctors knew about nutrition as a proactive way to combat diabetes, versus just taking another pill, and another, and yet another to combat the side effects of the other ones. My doctor is just as bad. I think Big Pharma has a lot to do with it. Diabetes is a major money making industry for them. Truthfully, it disgusts me. But, if one cares to look, there is much good information out there to reverse T2D. You just have to be determined to do it.

Paula, ketosis is a diuretic state. I must drink to replace all I pee. 1/2 oz. Per pound of weight is the norm. I'm falling short of that.

Yes, I understand about ketosis and a diuretic state. That's why you have to keep up your fluids without floating away. Tough for you because you retain fluids. You have to also make sure your calorie intake is high enough to keep your metabolic rate up. I'm positive you have metabolic syndrome. I have been diagnosed with that for many years. Insulin resistance is part of that. Read, read, read. It builds your knowledge base and builds your confidence about what you're doing. Eventually, it helps you become more confident in making decisions for yourself. Everyone is here for you. Best regards. Paula

When you followed 2000kcal suggested, were you doing keto? Sorry if I missed that.

"It was suggested" to reduce your calories; by whom? People with experience beating t2d via LCHF are suggesting you increase your intake. Maybe try what they've done? -- are you supplementing electrolytes?

I took calories off my daily food calculator. Televangelist says eating the right food just until content will do the trick. I've tried everything else, so why not. I am taking magnesium and potassium supplements daily.
